The potential addition to Hawk is on the agenda of the Board of Education meeting today – 7:30 pm at the Central Office (Village School)! Specifically the board will vote today on whether to allocate funds from the Capital Reserve to a line item for an addition. There is an opportunity for public comment before the vote. The relevant part of the meeting is likely to be around 8:30 to 9 pm.
Here are links to the pertinent presentations from the district administration:
- Board Meeting agenda – public comment is item XI, the vote on the Capital Reserve request is XIII.C.4
- Future Capacity Presentation – this includes the concept sketch of how the addition to Hawk would be situated, including a new bus loops, and the breakdown of the space including pre-K rooms, classrooms, offices, and art and music space.
- Impact of Residential Developments – site by site impact of various developments proposed in both West Windsor and Plainsboro.

If funds are NOT allocated from capital reserve, an addition cannot be ready by September 2019, which is when students from the new development by the Princeton Theological Seminary are expected to arrive – which means overcrowding and larger class sizes.
